Swim Team

The DSMY Marlin swim team is a year round competitive youth and adult swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. We offer training at four of our YMCA branches in the Greater Des Moines area. DSMY is a member of YMCA Swimming, USA Swimming, USA Masters Swimming, and USA Synchronized Swimming.

A Y membership is required for participation in the swim team program.

Open to non-members are our Marlin Prep Clinics (our Start & Turn Clinics are open only to current and returning members of the team).

Prep

Swim Team Prep is a month long program option for swimmers who have completed swim lessons and want to get a taste for swim team or prepare to join the DSMY Marlins team. participants will have 2 swim practices a week, 1 with the swim team and 1 on their own with the coach. This will give them the opportunity to learn competitive swim team skills and build up endurance to try out for DSMY Marlins.
