YMCA Highschool Metro Basketball League

The YMCA Metro Basketball League is open to high school students (grades 9th-12th) in the metro of Des Moines and surrounding suburbs who CAN NOT play on their current high school basketball teams anytime during the Metro season. Thanks to generous support from the Iowa Wolves, Mid-American Energy and Iowa Sports Foundation we are able to maintain the fee at just $40 per player, which includes a game jersey.League is divided into two groups of play: Freshman/Sophomore and Junior/Senior.

Please note that if you are registering as part of a team, you will need to specify your team name and list your teammates at registration.

Start: December 2, 2024

2 week winter break Dec 23rd – Jan 5th

Start January 6, 2024-February 24,2024

Playoffs and Championships start Feb 24th – March 8th

**Games can be canceled and rescheduled due to inclement weather conditions**

**10 Weeks regular season games plus 2 more weeks of playoffs and championship games

**Games can be played on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday during the week between 4:30 – 10:30pm and on Saturday between 8:00 – 3:00pm ++more days could be added and or subject to change depending on participation numbers.
